‘Floribama Shore’ Star Kirk Medas Dies at 33 — Details

The former MTV star has died at 33 after spending nearly two weeks in the ICU, where he had been on a ventilator and in a coma, according to his family.
Kirk Medas, known for appearing on the reality series “Floribama Shore,” died Friday, May 2, 2025. His family confirmed the news to TMZ and said his death was caused by liver failure. His father shared the information with the outlet.
TMZ previously reported that Medas had been placed on a ventilator at a hospital in the Miami area and was fighting for his life in the intensive care unit. His family had earlier disclosed that he was battling necrotizing pancreatitis, a serious condition that leads to the death of tissue in the pancreas.

He required a breathing machine and had fallen into a coma during his hospitalization. Fans of reality television will recognize Medas from MTV’s “Floribama Shore,” a spin-off of the popular series “Jersey Shore.”
The show featured him alongside Jeremiah Buoni, Codi Butts, Aimee Hall, Nilsa Prowant, Candace Rice, Gus Smyrnios, and Kortni Gilson. Gilson was only featured in the first three seasons of the series. Medas was 33.
